The Rotary Club of Menomonie has created a community fund to be used for special projects that enhance the local community. Through a grant application process, a total of up to $       will be awarded annually to one or more organizations or groups. All grant applications for the 2017 cycle are due by        .

The Rotary Club of Menomonie worked closely with the Community Foundation of Dunn County in 2015 to create a fund that would give back to the community. Two inaugural grants were awarded to the Menomonie Public Library and to Friends of Potters Field.

“By creating this endowed grant-making fund, the Rotary Club of Menomonie has shown an amazing commitment of financial support to local charitable organizations,” Georgina Tegart, the executive director of the Community Foundation of Dunn County, said.

Christopher Smith, a former club president, noted that the fund is the culmination of the work of the club and generosity of its Rotarian members over many years: “Through our Rotarian’s concerted effort we are able to establish a fund of lasting value to the community.”

Founded by Paul Harris in 1905, Rotary International is an international service organization whose purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services. The Rotary Club of Menomonie was formed in 1923 and has served the community since its inception
