Vocational Avenue of Service

The Rotary Club of Menomonie supports Literacy by donating funds to Literacy Volunteers-Chippewa Valley for the purchase of a laptop and Reading Horizons software program. This phonics based program is effective in helping to increase reading skills to learning disabled adults and adults for whom English is a second language.
Tim Stanton from CVTC helped provide the licenses for this phonics program to be used by LVCV. Rotary’s generous donation will allow the LVCV staff and volunteers to use this program for students in the community and in the Dunn County Jail.
